In most surveys of the most stressful things one can experience in life, a wedding always makes the top 10. It is meant to be one of the happiest and most memorable moments of your life. However, the lead up to it can be far from that. To make a wedding memorable the guests should be entertained. This can be done easily by hiring party products such as a photo booth, chocolate fountain, Ferrero Rocher pyramid etc. With a fun photo booth not only will these items be a talking piece but your guests will be able to take a memento home with them.
Creating Fun Memories for Wedding Guests
For example the wedding photo booth will print out photos upon which you can have a personalised message such as:
“Congratulations Claire & John 26/02/17”
or whatever you fancy. Furthermore these photos can be stuck in to a guest book where your guests can write a message along side their photos in order to make your day a little more special. With a large variety of props mixed with a small splash of alcohol the photos will be fantastic!
A fountain of chocolate which you can dip a variety of food products, such as fruits, biscuits, marshmallows etc. For some reason kids love this much more than adults, maybe it is due to the free food or perhaps it’s the sugar content, or the mess factor, who knows?
Imperial Photo Booth provide a variety of party products which can be hired for your wedding. However they do not just cater for weddings, but also private parties such as birthday parties, anniversaries and corporate events. If you have a wedding coming up then check out their website and their gallery in order to get a feel for some of their events. If you do decide to go ahead with booking a photo booth, you will not regret it!
After searching for months for the perfect dress to wear on your big day, you’ve finally found it. Now, all you have to do is find the perfect bridesmaids dresses to complement it. That should be easy, right? Wrong!
For many brides-to-be, bridesmaid dress shopping is a lot more stressful than it was searching for their own dream dress. Why? Because unlike the pictures you see in magazines of perfect, similar-size models, your bridesmaids are more than likely going to look completely different to one another. Not only are they different heights and sizes, but they have their own preferences of what they like to wear. This means it’s extremely difficult to please everyone.
There are a lot of things to consider when choosing the right bridesmaids dresses. If you want to avoid the inevitable headache, here you’ll discover where and how to find the right bridesmaids dresses everyone will love.
Where and How to Find the Right Bridesmaids Dresses
Things to consider
Finding bridesmaid dresses to complement the style of your own dress is the easy part. What you really need to pay attention to is the colour. Many brides have a strict colour scheme in their head, without realising that it may not work in reality. Your bridesmaids have different skin tones, so it’s important to choose a colour which matches each of them.
It’s worth considering having different shades of the same colour to address the skin tone issue. For example, if your colour scheme is purple, choose different shades such as a deep purple for darker skin and lighter purple for pale skin bridesmaids.
You’ll also want to think about having different style dresses. This will help accommodate for different shapes and sizes, as well as increase the chances of keeping all of your bridesmaids happy. However, don’t forget that this is your day so never compromise your own happiness for the sake of keeping other people happy.
Where to look
Once you know what to look out for, the question is where should you look? Again, this will depend on numerous factors such as the budget you have to work with. At one time, the only place you could purchase bridesmaid’s dresses was an actual bridal shop. However, these days you can find them online and even in high street fashion stores such as Coast.
High street stores are an excellent place to look as not only are the dresses considerably cheaper, but the range available is also fantastic.
Overall, there is a lot to think about when choosing the right bridesmaid dresses for your big day. If you follow the advice above, you’ll find it much easier to choose the best dresses everyone will be happy with.
Today we are tapping along to the beat with some alternative wedding music ideas. They come to us courtesy of Bands for Hire, who have a wealth of musical options and ideas to suit all tastes.
I’ll hand over to Adam who is is the know.
Alternative Wedding Music Ideas
You’ve pinned down your wedding venue and the date is set in stone, it’s now time to put on your wedding planner hat and get busy organising.
When it comes to booking your daytime wedding music there are obvious choices that instantly come to mind. Whether that is a string quartet, harpist, jazz band or pianist, they all are fantastic options to go for and will certainly deliver the desired effect. However, perhaps you’re looking for something a little different on your wedding day. Something more memorable and unique that will get heads turning and guests talking.
At Bands For Hire we work alongside some incredible instrumentalists that you may not have considered. Take a look at some of the ideas below and head over to our site to see what else we have on offer.
A pannist is a great alternative to a solo harpist or classical guitarist. Ideal to create a warm and relaxing vibe during your wedding breakfast, or afternoon drinks reception.
Not sure what a pannist is?
Have a look and a listen below.
Gypsy Jazz Band
Rather than the usual piano based jazz band sound, a Gypsy Jazz band has a more laid back, informal jam vibe, ideal for rustic and festival style weddings.
A string quartet is usually the go-to ensemble for the ceremony, but a sax quartet is equally as striking and will be sure to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
A solo sitarist is perfect for a relaxed, bohemian atmosphere, a real head turner at any wedding reception or breakfast.
If country is your thing but you’re still looking to appeal to a wide audience, ‘Country Girls’ have put together the perfect repertoire of well known country songs, ideal for rustic barn weddings and more.
So plenty of alternative music ideas there. Do you have a favourite? I definitely fancy a Gypsy Jazz band at the next party I have.
Those fabulous wedding shoes may look amazing when you walk up the aisle but by the time your first dance comes around you may be staggering rather than strutting your funky stuff on the dance floor.
This is where Sinderella fold up bridal shoes are an absolute must. I always take a pair to weddings for those brides whose Jimmy Choos are starting to pinch and a night out in heels is a no go without a pair of fold up shoes in my bag.
Coming in a handy bag and small enough to tuck away in a smallish handbag, they make a welcome change from the barefoot walking I have done after many a night out and on many a wedding dance floor.
With different styles to choose from, there is a pair to suit everyone. I was sent the New York gold and white ballerina flat to try out on our model, my daughter Olivia, a slightly reluctant bride at 14 but hey my wedding dress doesn’t fit me any more and she wanted pocket money 🙂
Sinderella fold up bridal shoes
They complimented the ivory wedding dress perfectly.
Still look stylish close up.
Love the gold metallic shimmer and the cute gold bow. It contrasts perfectly against the soft white of the rest of the shoe. Even my grumpy teen said they were comfy and “looked nice with the wedding dress”. High praise indeed!
Even the back of the shoes have gold detailing on the heels, so you don’t need to compromise style for comfort. You can see how easily they fold up as soon as you take them off.
I love the Sinderella fold up bridal shoes and they are so cute I might be persuaded to dust my heels off, just so I have an excuse to show these off at the end of the night.
