  • Wedding Stationery – Creating Key Looks

Today, Lisa Forde from The Card Gallery shares ideas on how to create different looks using your wedding stationery. Lisa’s been running The Card Gallery for the past 10 years so has picked up lots of hints and advice during that time…..

Create different looks using different wedding stationery

You’ve set the date, you know what time of year you’re getting married, now you need to set a theme for your big day. In this post I am going to explain how by using different stationery styles can do just that.

    Traditional

Brides-to-be love to revert back to using traditional styles of wedding stationery for their big day with cream rose designs being at the top of the popularity list. Save the date cards and wedding invitations are usually the first snippet guests will get of your big day so by using a traditional design like this one (shown below), suggests to your guests that it is going to be traditional style wedding.

To continue your traditional theme throughout your day you can use matching items like table numbers, place cards, menus, favours and a table plan to complete the traditional look.

    Vintage

The vintage theme is currently bang on trend with so many different ways you can create this look. Here I have shown a vintage bunting themed save the date card and wedding invitation which I think works perfectly for a spring or summer wedding – particularly if you’re getting married in a marquee.

Once again you can use matching order of service and table stationery to decorate your venue to complete the vintage look.

    Winter

With winter weddings becoming increasingly popular, there is no better way of setting the theme than with a snowflake invitation. If you are sending your save the date card or wedding invitation in the spring or summer months, snow may be the last thing on your mind but here you can see how important it is to choose the right wedding stationery if you are to set the right mood for your winter inspired wedding.

Transform your venue into a winter wonderland with matching table stationery and table plan.

Thankyou to Lisa for her fab ideas and gorgeous stationery. If you are interested in any of the products featured in this post, please visit The Card Gallery. For more tips, advice and ideas, visit The Card Gallery’s blog.
